➤➤➤Julian's auction house said that tight black pants and a leather jacket worn by actress Olivia Newton-John in "Grace" sold for $405,700 at an auction in Beverly Hills on Saturday, twice the expected price.

    These clothes represented Newton-John's transformation in the 1978 musical from Sandy, a high school student to the attractive Sandy, and was among 500 pieces put up for sale to raise money for the Newton-John Cancer Center in Australia. Newton-John wore those famous pants for a dance and song "You're the person I want", with John Travolta, and it was so tight that he was sewn to film this scene and sold with a cut zipper. The identity of the person who bought the trousers and jacket was not disclosed.

Julian said the auction raised $2.4 million in total, with many of the film's most anticipated items far exceeding the expected price. A poster for the film signed by Newton-John, Travolta and other members of the film sold for $64,000 after it was expected to be $1,000.

The pink lace dress by Newton-John sold the film premiere in Los Angeles for $18,750. The "Pink Ledes" jacket, which was given to the actress by the film's crew and crew, was sold for $50,000, 25 times more than the original estimate.

Since her first diagnosis, John has chosen to talk about her experience with breast cancer so that other women in a similar situation see that survival is possible and that early detection is important.
In 2018, Olivia Newton revealed her cancer diagnosis for the third time, telling Channel Seven that doctors had spotted a tumor in the lower spine and had undergone radiation therapy but was currently eating herbs and also taking hemp oil.
She had begun raising funds for the Cancer Support Centre in Melbourne, Australia, named after her. She walked the Great Wall in April 2008 to raise funds for her cancer centre.
