After working as an assistant casting director at yash raj films for six years, she made her film debut as an overweight bride in the company's romantic comedy dum laga ke haisha (2015), which earned her the filmfare award for best female debut.
Durgamati is an upcoming indian hindi-language horror thriller film directed by g. Ashok, which is a remake of his own 2018 tollywood (telugu) film bhaagamathie and starring bhumi pednekar as an ias officer.
The film is produced by bhushan kumar, akshay kumar and vikram malhotra under t-series, cape of good films and abundantia entertainment.
Presented by akshay kumar, the title of durgavati has now been modified to durgamati.
