Why did I have a stroke?

80% of strokes occur when blood flow to the brain suddenly breaks off, usually due to a blood clot or other blockage. This stroke is called ischemia. Hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures.

Impoverishment can be caused by an artery blockage due to plaque buildup - a mixture of cholesterol, lipids or lipids in the blood. People with atherosclerosis due to plaque buildup are at a higher risk of stroke. High blood pressure can be a factor for hemorrhagic strokes.  What does post-stroke rehabilitation include?
There are many ways of rehabilitation after a stroke, some of which are still in the early stages of development, and behavioral performance in any region, such as motor and cognitive sensory function, is likely to improve when motor activity is rigid, repetitive and limited to a specific task.

Post-stroke rehabilitation may include some or all of the following activities, depending on the affected part of the body or the type of capacity affected.

Physical activities
1. Strengthening motor skills
Exercises that help improve and coordinate muscle strength, including treatment to help swallow.

2. Motor training
Learn to use walking aids, such as a walker, walking stick, or plastic brace (splint) to stabilize and support your ankle to support body weight when relearning.

3. Treatment of stimulation with restrictions
Also known as compulsory use therapy, it includes limiting the use of the uninjured limb during training to move the affected limb to help improve its function.

4. Treat range of motion
Exercises and other treatments to help relax muscle tension (cramps) and restore range of motion, and medications can also be helpful.

How long does rehabilitation last after a stroke?
The duration of post-stroke rehabilitation depends on the severity of the stroke and related complications, and although some stroke survivors recover quickly, some need rehabilitation after a long stroke, perhaps for months or years after a stroke.

Your rehabilitation plan will change after your stroke during recovery as you relearn skills and your needs change, and with ongoing training, you continue to progress with time.

The duration of your post-stroke rehabilitation treatment session varies depending on your recovery, severity of symptoms and response to treatment.
